Trans Rescue Action Reveals its New Operation in Jersey City

JERSEY CITY, NJ, UNITED STATES, October 29, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Trans Rescue Action, an organization dedicated to relocating trans refugees experiencing violence to safer states, has revealed its plan to establish a new safe house in Jersey City, New Jersey. They’ve successfully assisted over a dozen people relocate to southern California, and are now seeking to fund raise to relocate their operations to the tri-state area.

Co-founder Anniejump Vicente states the organization’s objective, “New York and New Jersey is home to a very dense population of people who are politically aware, active, and ready to help others. Jersey City has an abundance of potential to be a node in Revolution bridging radical people of all kind. Trans Rescue Action is aiming to help expand the potential of that node by housing trans refugees, identify local needs, and become a staple by integrating to the existing community.”

According to the Williams Institute from UCLA Law, there is roughly 64,700 trans women, men, and non binary people living within the state of New Jersey, about .7 percent of the entire population. As more of the youth is coming out as trans, roughly 3.2 percent between 13 and 17 years of age, there will be a craving for trans spaces to gather, commune, gain new friendships, and grow as a community.

New Jersey has some of the strongest legal protections for the trans community, more than a vast majority of states. The New Jersey Legislature votes continuously to protect trans peoples’ right to health care access, nondiscrimination practices around bathroom facility assignment, and for trans youth and adults to play in the sport league of their identifying gender. This lays the groundwork for Trans Rescue Action to concretely establish itself as a pillar to the trans community with the best access via public transit from northern New Jersey and New York City.

Trans Rescue Action is fund raising for fifteen thousand dollars for a new place with enough space and rooms to provide permanent supportive housing to trans refugees. The goal amount will cover the cost of rent, furnishing, cooking equipment, and most of all, supplement the cost of refugee relocation and their needs as they start another transition in their life.
